I think it's interesting that they've released 2 versions for 2 different versions of DirectX. Maybe I'm the only one that finds this interesting that they are doing it, and not many, if any other developers are? |

They are just trying to cover all their bases to maximise sales, I'm sure they will do the same with the final release. |

Well of course, but I wonder how much extra work that had to put into it, to get a version of the game that is dx10. |

I wonder how much superior is the DX10 version. Any astonishing difference?
Is it anything like switching from dx8 to dx9 in Stalker? |

few issues with dx9 and dx10 versions of these demos.
dx10 version vista freezes after 4min of play, (getting out of walker)
dx9 version had to force a restart same place, brought me to BSOD screen.
and from what i seen in both versions, this is a vanilla FPS for the xbox and has no right to be put on pc, the game is just to easy and just to plane for a PC fps.
for xbox well this is a perfect game. |

Installed this today. Not impressed. Runs like a slug in DX9. It set my grfx to 1280 x 720. Med quality, no AA, 4x AF. Game is just plain boring and runs really slow, choppy. I have an Athlon 64 3700+, NVidia 7900GT (512) 2 GB RAM, win XP. Not bothering until the final game comes out - or a better optimised demo. Just frustrating and a waste of time. The only game which would make me upgrade a the moment, is Crysis - or maybe GRAW 2 (coming soon!). |
