The Sims: Castaway Stories [unlocker]
A SavedGame giving you access to all of the areas of the game.
Unlocks:
All 20 Story Rewards
INSTALLATION
1. First some very important Information.
Using this unlocker will cause Story Mode, aka "Shipwrecked and Single", to
be completed. It will also reveal all of the locations on the game Map for
this mode. The unlocker had to be done in this way. So, why would a person
want to use this unlocker?
a) You completed Story Mode, but missed some of the Rewards. There is no
way for you to get them after the Story is completed.
b) You lost your saves, but want to try Freeplay Mode, aka "Wanmami Island",
and wish to get all of the Story Rewards that you lost previously.
c) You hated Story Mode and did not play or did not finish it. You just
want to enjoy "Wanmami Island" mode, but all of the Story Rewards are
locked in this mode.
Our unlocker solves all of those problems for you.
So, if you have not yet completed Story Mode, we strongly suggest that you
backup either the 'NeighborhoodManager.package' file described below or even
better backup your entire save directory. Because as mentioned above, this
unlocker will make Story Mode completed. If you never played that Mode or
have only partially completed it, then it will get messed up and not
function correctly.
*However, if you did complete it, then this unlocker will work perfectly for
you in both Story Mode and Freeplay Mode, unlocking all 20 Story Reward
objects. For the people that never completed Story Mode, our unlocker will
only work properly in Freeplay "Wanmami Island" Mode.
2. Launch the game at least one time (just to get the Main Menu loaded), to be
sure all Saved Files are created properly and then quit the game.
3. Always make a backup copy of your game file(s) first:
[SaveDir]\\Neighborhoods\\########\\NeighborhoodManager.package
*) Windows NT kernel (NT/2K/XP):

"C:\\Documents and Settings\\\\My Documents\\Electronic Arts\\
The Sims(TM) Castaway Stories"
We can not include the full path in the RAR file because that "The Sims(TM)"
is done with weird font characters that do not work in DOS. We only support
DOS unRAR and not lame WinRAR, so you need to find your own save location.
This game allows you to have multiple "profiles" either for playing story
mode with different characters or for multiple players such as different
people in your family. So, you need to choose which Profile number to unRAR
our unlocker to, or you can unRAR to each and every one if you want the
Story Rewards unlocked for everyone.
The file 'Neighborhoods\\Profiles.ini' contains the names of all profiles and
which ######## number each one is linked to. Check out that INI file if you
get confused.
4. UnRAR the archive to your "[SaveDir]\\Neighborhoods\\########\\" directory,
overwriting any existing files.
Always unRAR with full paths!
If you have trouble, search your drives for the following to find the
correct location for extraction:
NeighborhoodManager.package
5. Play.
Click the Treasure Chest icon on the lower-middle of the screen to access
the Rewards area. Then click the second icon from the top, which is
shockingly called "Story Rewards".
Red-coloured ones are not locked. It just means that you don't have
enough Resources to buy the Reward because you Sim(s) are too poor and lame.
Be aware that it is impossible to do certain tasks and to use certain items,
if you do not have access to the Story Rewards when using Freeplay Mode.
That is the main reason for TNT releasing this unlocker!
