Thief 2: The Metal Age [cheats]
No Fall Damage
When falling from a high point in which you can take damage, simply press the Escape key before landing. You might hear your character grunt, but he will not have taken damage
Modify Starting Cash
You can edit the dark.cfg file and add the line "cash_bonus n" N represents the
amount of cash added to the beginning of a mission.
Skip to Next Mission
Press [CTRL] + [ALT] + [SHIFT] + [END] to skip to the next mission.
Add to dark.cfg:
Cheats_Active
LockCheat
Lockcheat makes sure almost all locked doors and chests will be openable without
need of keys and lockpicks.

No Killing Rule
This involves editing the USER.cfg file, first make a copy of the file, then add
the following lines "cheats_active", "nokillgoalcheat" this will alow you to win
with out worrying about the no killing rule in some missions
Easter Egg: At the beginning of Mission 3: Framed, throw a scouting orb over the
spiked wall to your left. Then look to the left with the scouting orb, and you'll
see a very amusing scene.
Requires: Play Thief 2 well enough to get to the Ambush! level Easter Egg: In the
Ambush! level, go to the Southern portion of Helena Way. Use the map to get
there. Look for a wall bordering the stream that has 3 torches stuck in it. There
are 4 boards nailed to the wall in the shape of a W. In the stream directly below
the W, is a bag of gold. This is a reference to the old movie «It's a mad, mad,
mad, mad world» In the movie, a bunch of people are trying to find buried
treasure that was ultimately located buried «Under the big W» (in the movie it
was 4 palm trees that grew to make the W)
Requires: Thief 2, the Metal Age Easter Egg:
The creators of the thief series are known to keep a list of quotes from the team
while their games are in developement. The list from Thief 1 can be found in the
training level's basketball court. The list for Thief 2 takes a lot more skill
and patience to aquire, but is rewarding nonetheless. Here is how to find it...
1. Get to the final level of the game (Sabatoge at Soulforge)
2. Disable at least five of the large robots (the combat bots, the ones that
shoot cannonballs at you if they see you)
3. Hit the disabled bots with your sword or blackjack until they break into
pieces.
4. Obtain at least five metal plates from the several mechanist storage rooms
5. Take the five metal plates and the boilers of the five destroyed combat bots
to bay A
6. Put ONE boiler and ONE metal plate through the rolling machine in Bay A at a
time. After the fifth boiler and plate go through the machine, the quote list
will pop out the other end
7. Read the list and enjoy!!
