Play as Kohryu
Play through arcade mode until you face Kohryu on stage 5. Defeat him to unlock him as a playable character.

Play as Uranus
Play through arcade mode and defeat Xion without using any continues up to that point. Defeat Uranus to unlock her as a playable character.

Extra mode
Play through survival mode and defeat more than nine enemies to unlock extra mode in the options menu. Continue defeating more enemies in survival mode to unlock more survival games in extra mode.

No blocking mode
Obtain first place in arcade mode to unlock no blocking mode.

One-hit knockdown mode

High speed mode
Win 100 fights in survival mode with one character to unlock high speed mode.

Low speed mode
Obtain a ranking in arcade mode with all characters to unlock low speed mode.

One fall mode
Win 20 rounds in survival mode with one character to unlock one fall mode. In this mode, the first character to fall will loose, but they will be invincible to all other attacks.

Gallery pictures
Successfully complete the game with a character to unlock their images in the picture gallery.

Debug mode (Japanese version)
Enter the options screen from the main menu, then hold L2 and press Circle.

Extra Modes Secrets
The following secrets can be found in Extra Modes.

Unlock Sudden Death Survival Mode

Defeat up to 9 opponents in ''Survival'' mode and earn a ranking. In this mode, one hit will KO any character.

Unlock No Guard Battle Mode

Complete ''Arcade'' mode on the default settings and earn a first place ranking. In this mode, characters cannot block an attack.

Unlock High Difficulty Mode

Complete ''Arcade'' mode on the default settings without continuing. In this mode, the opponents are extremely difficult to defeat.

Unlock Knock Down Battle Mode

Earn a first place ranking in ''Survival'' mode after you unlock ''Sudden Death Survival'' mode. In this mode, one hit will knock a character down.

Unlock High Speed Battle Mode

Defeat up to 100 opponents in ''Survival'' mode and earn a ranking. In this mode, characters fight faster.

Unlock Low Speed Battle Mode

Complete ''Arcade'' mode with all characters on the default settings, earning a ranking with each characters. In this mode, characters fight slower.

Unlock Hyper Beast Battle Mode

Play through 10 Stages in ''Arcade'' mode on the default settings and earn a ranking. In this mode, characters are always in ''Hyper Beast'' mode.

Unlock Sumo Wrestling Battle Mode

Defeat up to 20 opponents in ''Survival'' mode and earn a ranking. In this mode, if the character is thrown to a wall, they are KO'd.
