Complete the indicated task to unlock the corresponding character.

* Chosokabe Motochika: Complete Heroes Story mode (Sengoku Drama Emaki) as Saika Magoichi.
* Fuma Kotaro: Complete Heroes Story mode (Sengoku Drama Emaki) as Sanada Yukimura.
* Honda Tadakatsu: Complete Heroes Story mode (Sengoku Drama Emaki) as Yoshihiro Shimazu and Yoshitsugi Otani.
* Maeda Keiji: Complete Heroes Story mode (Sengoku Drama Emaki) as Date Masamune.
* Mori Motonari: Complete Heroes Story mode (Sengoku Drama Emaki) as Tsuruhime and Chosokabe.
* Oda Nobunaga: Complete Oichi's Story mode once, then start again. Take the Green route and follow Tenkai when you reach Kobayakawa's stage. Kill Tenkai and complete the route. Return to any cleared character and look for a short grey alternate route near the end of one of their normal routes. Use that route and follow the grey path. Complete the Honnoji stage to unlock Nobunaga.
* Oichi: Complete Heroes Story mode (Sengoku Drama Emaki) as Fuma and Maeda.
* Otani Yoshitsugu: Complete Heroes Story mode (Sengoku Drama Emaki) as Ishida Mitsunari.
* Shimazu Yoshihiro: Complete Heroes Story mode (Sengoku Drama Emaki) as Kuroda Kanbe.
* Tsuruhime: Complete Heroes Story mode (Sengoku Drama Emaki) as Tokugawa Ieyasu.

Alternate costumes
Successfully complete Story mode to unlock that character's alternate costume.

Extreme difficulty (japan)
Successfully complete the game under the Hard difficulty setting.

Golden or Final weapons
Complete Heroes' mode with any character three times to obtain their Golden or Final weapons.
