Bethesda's VP Addresses Paid Mods - briefly
(hx) 04:21 PM EDT - Sep,07 2017
Bethesda VP Pete Hines is dismissing the allegation that Creation Club constitutes "paid mods": he defends the concept by explaining that modders are essentially developers, and that they should be paid for their work. But while that makes a lot of sense, it doesn’t change the fact that gamers still have to pay for the mods.

Hx, your news articles are broken most of the time now. Not sure what is going on...

In regards to this one, this guy sounds full of shit. Not specific on anything, I sincerely doubt this prick plays anything. Pencil pusher with a big salary.

Damn I can see it :-( Marek did something with Linux setup (SQL, script locations), changed many things. I need to find bugs and fix scripts.

If they want to get paid, they should get a job at Bethesda. I'm sure Bethesda would be happy to push down the salaries of all devs. Great opportunity for those greedinistic assholes.
If modders do this for fun, they can choose to share the result or not - but begging for money in exchange for something they like is not the way to make a living.

I have not paid for any Bethesda shit since Skyrim - that was the last good title. Bethesda is spilling out boring, flashy crap, does not deserve a penny. Much like Blizztard, EA and a few others. They forgot about the user and the fun. I forgot to pay.

^^ Well said! Couldn't agree more. Very sad state of the game industry these days. Getting more pathetic than ever I am afraid. :x
