 Gaming collection on ebay for over $500,000 - briefly
(hx) 01:34 AM EST - Feb,08 2013
IGN has a story on an ebayer who is selling his entire game collection for a total of $550,000.00. Considering that he has every major console, and every major game from the past 30 years, I'd say that's pretty reasonable. So how many games are we talking about? 6,850, all of which but 70 come with their box. He also has 330 consoles, 307 with boxes, 220 controllers and 185 accessories. He claims to have taken around 10,000 pictures of his entire collection, which you can view here. As for his list of games? You can view that here(PDF).

@tride:
Seems about right.
And if he finds a buyer, he'll just rub this under her mom's nose: "I told you mom that gaming was not a waste of time, but a good investment."

I downloaded more stuff then that off the internet in last 10 years. Only 3d studios, Lighwaves, adobe programs and cubase stuff is worth over 500 grand...pfft. :P
I am eager to see if she will sell that crap to some even bigger fool.

edit: if feds are reading this:

I deleted all that stuff when it didn't amuse me any longer

EDIT1:

LOL, bid ended with ZERO bids. Surprise surprise...
