| (hx) 11:17 AM EDT - Jun,19 2012 | Valve rolled out a new update for Steam, in which the company noted that the Windows XP SP1 support will be dropped on August 31st. This obviously does not mean that Steam will stop working on Windows XP SP1 systems. However, the company will not provide any help or support when players face problems with it (at a later date)
- Added warning message for users on XP SP1 or lower, support will be
dropped August 31th 2012.
- Grid view now supports applying custom images to games and shortcuts,
via the grid item’s context menu
- Fixed a bug where if you were disconnected from Steam, then
reconnected, any tabbed chats would paint wrong until you changed tabs
- Fixed clearing login information in case “Don’t save account
credentials on this computer” is checked
- Fixed HTTP proxy related download issue
- Fixed client crash related to game stats system
- Fixed button to remove completed downloads
- Fixed html control not drawing if Steam wasn't the foreground
application
- Fixed html control being blank for a while on steam startup for some
users

| Kompressor | (09:10 AM EDT - Jun,22 2012 ) | | Because people are morons. I've seen people that don't install any updates or a virus scanner. | |
| Csimbi | (12:21 PM EDT - Jun,22 2012 ) | | Well, yes, some people are morons. I don't know whether all of those people still on SP1 are morons however. Some might be using pirated software that don't get updates, some might be just less educated to know that they are supposed to get the updates, etc. | |
| Baconnaise | (03:49 PM EDT - Jun,23 2012 ) | | Could be driver issues on older PC's. Could be the only ones left are only a small number of people or workplaces even. | |
