- Microsoft's next frontier: wireless - After dominating the desktop,
burrowing into the Internet and bursting into the video game market,
Microsoft Corp. is making progress at getting firmly into the palm of your
hand. Already a force in software for personal digital assistants,
Microsoft is ramping up efforts to provide the operating systems for those
devices' close relative: the next generation of "smart" cell phones that can
handle e-mail, digital photos and other data. Microsoft splashed into the
smart-phone scene in Europe last year with a device sold by the British
wireless carrier Orange.

- Project Dreamix announced -
Project Dreamix
will turn the Microsoft Xbox into the ultimate home entertainment center. Here
is a list of features they plan to complete before Beta release: PVR

Playback (Based on Linux MPlayer - all popular file formats), Audio/Music

Although Dreamix will be based on Debian Xbox-Linux, all necessary libraries

install by the average user.
- GeForce FX Derivatives NV31/NV34 Will Not Support All DirectX 9.0
Features? - The situation around the GeForce FX-based products is finally
more or less clear: the first graphics cards should start to appear in
February, while in March there will be a lot more of such solutions, as
Nvidia's partners will finally get more cards to sell. Now we should talk a
bit about the derivatives from the NV30 architecture, namely the
code-named NV31 and NV34 VPUs.

- ABIT Siluro Ti4200 OTES: Voltage modifications - As many of you are
aware...not
all Ti4200 layouts by individual manufacturers are the same....so though
many use the same voltage regulators, placement of components can be
completely different, or components themselves may be different.
