I watched
Crash on
Sunday. I must admit, it was an awesome movie. The acting was top notch, and
each actor and actress delivered performances that brought out the true emotion
and power of the movie. Crash shows the power of racism through all eyes of
those involved, from the victims to the wrong doers, shows how racism can be
everywhere and how everything can change...It's good to watch a movie that makes
you think. On this count, I highly recommend Crash.

- Flaw found in Kaspersky antivirus -
A "critical" flaw in Kaspersky Lab's antivirus software could let an
attacker commandeer systems that use the products, a security researcher
warned Monday. A remote attacker could exploit the heap overflow flaw by
sending a malformed CAB file--a compression file--to a vulnerable system, the
French Security Incident Response Team said in
an
advisory. The CAB file could be sent in an e-mail, for example, and once
the Kaspersky antivirus scanner had accepted it, the malicious code would be
in the system. No user interaction is required, Wheeler said. FrSirt describes
the issue as "critical," its highest rating.
- Backdoor Trojan targets Microsoft Access -
Virus writers have created a Trojan which uses an unpatched vulnerability
in Microsoft Office to take over Windows PCs. The Hesive Trojan can be
disguised as a Microsoft Access file. Once opened in Access, infected .mdb
files take advantage of a five-month old buffer overflow flaw in Microsoft's
Jet Database Engine software to seize control of vulnerable machines.

The systems have an integrated 12V power supply to avoid power surge damages
and eliminate battery drain, even when the car isn't running. Utilizing the
VIA C3 processor, VIA and Mini-box claim the system uses no more than 15-30W
of power at any time, which is less than the dimmest of parking lights. The
unit features all the connectors one would expect, such as USB 2.0, Firewire,
Ethernet, PCMCIA types I and II, S-Video, VGA, and six channel audio.
- Sony releases PSP Firmware 2.01 - The cyclical pattern continued

Sony's US site

users can reportedly upgrade to v2.01 now by using the "Network Update"
feature on their PSPs. The only change noted during the install is a
tightening of security.

antennas. The chip inside the soccer ball measures 15mm. Soccer players cannot
find a difference to standard soccer balls. The intelligent ball will be
