A playable demo of Spider-Man 2 has been released, allowing you to try out this Unreal-powered action adventure sequel by The Fizz Factor and Activision. This beta demo contains a tutorial and several missions from the full game. The 197MB demo can be downloaded from 3DGamers, GH, FileRush, Tiscali Games, FileShack, WP.

omg. this came has this sick "computer detector" that automaticly sets the visuals for optimal performance... it totally sucks. I mean ive got a 2500+ nad a gf4ti4200 and i have to run this game with a resolution of 800x600 and low-med graphics. This totally sucks! Tho the game itself is cool. :) I just cant beat that frikking rhino dood! :(

Ummm..the GeForce4 4200ti is outdated. Also, it set the game for OPTIMAL PERFORMANCE, not OPTIMAL VISUALS.

Well its more like MAXIMUM PERFORMANCE because i get over 60FPS all the time... 35FPS is the lowest. (thats because of the drivers im using) But still it kinda sucks... i mean even my friend who has a Radeon 9600xt has not so good visuals. :\ (his resolution is also @ 800x600, tho he has a better processor "P4 3.2ghz")

Well I downloaded the demo and I got to say... This game sucks big time!!! What the hell is with the graphics, made me feel sick while playing. As for the web swinging, the first game was pretty crap too but it had a better gameplay and graphics than this. Certainly won't be buying this rubbish. Hope someone puts the makers of this out of their misery. -10 out of 10!

For 200 odd mb - this was a tiny demo! The controls are crap and you have no influence over what spideys actions are! Considering that the original PSX one was fantastic, its amazing how they managed to stuff up the movie franchise games!

Just so you guys know, I dont think this is the real Spiderman 2 game because Treyarch is making the game not The Fizz Factor.

New Info on the demo from the mouth of Activision. Yesterday a demo appearing to be that of Spider-Man 2 appeared on the Web and was quickly mirrored by numerous download sites. However, given that it hadn't come from Activision, its provenance seemed to be a bit of mystery. Some thought it was a pirated beta-version of the game. Others, including Blue's News, traced its origin to a promotion for a Russian soft drink. However, the demo's origin is much closer to home--Battle Creek, Michigan, to be exact. The Midwestern town is the headquarters of Kellogg's, the food multinational and maker of Cheez-Its. As it turns out, the Spider-Man 2 PC demo is being released exclusively as a Cheez-It promotion; send in two UPCs from boxes of the deliciously caloric crackers and you'll get a demo disc of the game. While the promotion's exclusivity would explain why many sites yanked the demo yesterday, it doesn't explain why its splash screen listed the game's developer as Fizz Factor (The Hobbit) instead of Treyarch. That's because Spider-Man 2 for the PC will be a totally different game than its PlayStation 2, Xbox, and GameCube siblings. According to reports, Spider-Man 2 for the PC will be a child-oriented, mass-market game along the lines of Finding Nemo, instead of the open-ended, Grand Theft Auto-style console game. I think this sucks. The demo was ok but letting the X-Box, PS2, and Gamecube get that really cool Spiderman game, this really sucks. I was looking really forward to it.

umm, This is a BIG confusion, See, there is the game "Spiderman" and "Spiderman: The Movie" the demo is "Spiderman 2" and the Treyarch 1 is "Spiderman 2: The movie" just like the 1st games, They are made by different people, This 1 beign kiddy and well rather Ghey, like the first "Spiderman" while the movie was very cool and uber pimp, the game shall follow.....
